Anthony Davis scored 26 points, and Eric Gordon finished with 23, but the Pels fell apart down the stretch with multiple turnovers.

The game was tied at 71 through three quarters, and the Warriors pulled away to outscore New Orleans 26-16 in the deciding period. Golden State ended the game on a 9-1 run.

The Pels produced a much better start in Game 2, racing out to a 28-17 first quarter lead. Eric Gordon tallied 11 points in the opening period, while Anthony Davis added 10 as New Orleans took advantage of a cold-shooting Warriors team.

However, Golden State caught fire in the second quarter, outscoring the Pels 38-24 to enter halftime with a three point lead at 55-52.

Steph Curry was 6-10 for 16 first half points. The Warriors were 7-15 from deep in the first half.

Curry finished with 22, while Klay Thompson scored 26.

In the first half, Anthony Davis tallied 14 for the Pelicans, making 7-13 attempts. Norris Cole also provided another spark off the bench, with 9 points.

For the game, Tyreke Evans tallied 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists.

Game 3 is set for Thursday night at 8:30 CST at the Smoothie King Center.
