NOPD: Man tries to rob NOE Waffle House, but workers flee restaurant

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating and identifying a man wanted in connection with the attaempted armed robbery of a New Orleans East restaurant.

The incident took place Tuesday at 5:10 a.m. at the Waffle House in the 11000 block of I-10 Service Road.

Police said a man in dark clothing with his face obscured entered the business brandishing a gun and demanding access to the safe. When the employees fled, the gunman ran out of the restaurant with no property or money.
