TERREBONNE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A teenager is facing armed robbery charges following his arrest in a holdup over a cell phone. According to Sheriff Jerry Larpenter of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, 17 year old Robby Coleman pointed a gun at a citizen and demanded his cell phone.
The incident happened last week on Spencer Lane in Dularge, Louisiana. Patrolmen were called out to the scene by the victim. During the investigation, they reportedly learned that a second person was also robbed at gunpoint during the same incident. Investigators believe Coleman was the gunman in that incident as well. Neither victim was injured during the robberies.
Detectives booked Coleman on one count of armed robbery. He was booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex where he awaits a bond hearing.
