NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We had a few decent showers and thunderstorms Thursday and another chance on Friday.
Models which are initializing correctly this morning seem to indicate a high chance for showers and storms this afternoon. We are under a "slight risk" for some of the storms to become severe.
There is a slight risk for severe weather again Saturday. However, rain coverage looks low and most storms may remain more to our north.
The greatest threat Saturday would come early in the day. After that, it will be drier for the rest of Saturday and Sunday with highs on Sunday in the upper 80s!
One model is forecasting 90 degrees, but I refuse to go that hot.
