NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - All Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for our area have been dropped, but a few Severe Thunderstorm Watches remain in effect.
The storm activity that brought heavy rains, lightning, hail and high-powered winds to Southeast Louisiana is moving east and in to Mississippi. As of 3:15 p.m. today only Severe Thunderstorm Watches remain in effect for Jefferson, Lafourche, Plaquemines, St. Bernard and Terrebonne parishes. All Severe Thunderstorm Warnings have been dropped.
The National Weather Service is reported large tree limbs and fencing down in St. Tammany and estimated over 51,000 people without power when the storm hit.
