Woman breaks beer bottle, stabs man several times Sunday morning

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

 A woman stabbed a man several times early Sunday morning after an argument turned physical.

Police say 35-year-old Ranada Boyd broke a beer bottle and cut the 36-year-old male victim several times around 2:37 a.m. in the 1600 block of Treasure Street. The victim refused EMS and was taken to a hospital by private conveyance.

Officers arrested Boyd at another location later in the day.

Boyd is charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Theft of Goods less than $500. Details have not been released on if the theft and attempted murder are related.
