NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two have been arrested in connection with the death of 25-year-old Jessie Taylor. His skeletal remains were found in the elevator shaft of an abandoned Central City building in 2014.

Contractors found Taylor's remains on April 24, 2014. Human skeletal remains were found in the elevator shaft and were collected by the coroner's office for examination.

Taylor's remains were examined by the Louisiana State University Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services, revealing that he suffered from trauma to the body.

Following the findings, his death was classified as a murder.

During the course of the investigation, detectives say they received a tip from Crimestoppers linking Victoria Norwood, 23, and Kenneth Harvey, 30, to Taylor's death.

Police say the pair confessed to killing Taylor and throwing his body in an elevator shaft.

Both were booked with second degree murder. The pair was already in Orleans Parish jail on unrelated charges.
