KENNER, LA (WVUE) - Tensions are rising as people in some areas spend another night without power.
The repair efforts been ongoing since the storms Monday afternoon. Only 173 Entergy customers were still without power Thursday evening in Jefferson Parish.
However, in one Kenner neighborhood, tempers have reached a boiling point.
"I still have a lot more that I took out the big freezer," resident Betty Russell said. "And I think it's time for somebody to reimburse us for losing our damn food because it's ridiculous. It's like this every time."
Russell said every time it rains, she and her neighbors within a four block radius lose power.
One Kenner councilman said this time around, he thinks Entergy crews had trouble accessing some of the lines, which led to the delay.
