(WVUE) - The action Google is taking to help protect the identity of its users may frustrate some users at the same time.

Google has launched a new Chrome add-on designed to stop users from recycling their Google password on other sites. When a user attempts to use the same password, the user will be warned to change the password to avoid phishing attacks.

Google is open-sourcing the tool in order to enable developers to bring it to other web browsers.
