NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - An Orleans Parish Judge tossed out a lawsuit challenging the sale of Galetoire's restaurant filed by two millionaires who wanted a piece of the famous eatery.
Harold Hunter White III and Daniel Conwill filed suit against the Galatoire's ownership group and the Galatoire family a year after their bid for the restaurant was denied in 2009.
Orleans Civil Court Judge Kern Reese heard testimony, then granted Galatoire's motion of no right of action.
The suit was the second time the men have tried to own a stake in the famous restaurant.
The attorney for Galatoire's, Randall Smith said "We are gratified that this suit has been dismissed. We never believed that the suit had any merit, and it's time for everyone to move on so that Galatoire's can continue to focus on serving fine food and drink in an incomparable setting."
The Galatoire family owns a 25 percent share in the restaurant. The rest is held by an ownership group that included John Georges.
