BOGALUSA, LA (WVUE) - Drug dealers were busted operating out of a small Bogalusa motel, deputies say.
Three individuals were arrested on Tuesday, accused of running a drug operation out of Choctaw Motel in Bogalusa.
Officers say a citizen's tip alerted them of "unusual activity" at the Columbia Street motel. Drugs and firearms littered the motel room, according to the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office.
"When we received this information, we acted quickly. Suspecting that both illegal drugs and firearms might be present, we enlisted the help of the Bogalusa Police Department to provide additional personnel," said Sheriff Randy Seal.
Jamarius Johnson, 19, Bryant Meyers, 18, and William Robinson, 41, were arrested. Officers say additional illegal drugs were found in the trio's car, parked just outside of the motel.
All three were arrested on multiple drug charges. Robinson also had an outstanding warrant for the distribution of illegal drugs, deputies say.
The suspects were initially transported to the Bogalusa City Jail. They were later transported to the Washington Parish Jail.
