CHICAGO (WVUE) - The Saints traded up in the fifth round of the NFL Draft to make a third pick: Georgia corner back Damian Swann.
Swann measures in at 6' tall and weighs 189 lbs.He was voted second-team all-SEC in 2014 and started 12 games for the Bulldogs. The Saints gave Washington the 187th pick in this years draft and their 6th round pick for 2016 to take Swann.
The Saints sat out of the 4th round in the 2015 NFL Draft, but got back on track in the 5th by selecting Outside Linebacker Davis Tull from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Tull measures in at 6'2" tall, weighing 246 lbs. he is a three-time Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team FCS All-American in 2014 with 10.5 sacks and 18 tackles for a loss. Tull is the 148th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Six picks later, the saints bolstered their D-Line by picking Tyeler Davison out of Fresno State 154th overall.
Davison measures in at 6'2" tall and weighs 316 lbs. He posted at least 40 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and two sacks in three straight seasons at Fresno State.
Saints received the 154th overall pick from the Kansas City Chiefs in return for Guard Ben Grubbs.
In the 7th round, New Orleans selected Missouri running back Marcus Murphy, who's a versatile player. Murphy not only excels as a runner, but he has also proven to be a reliable pass catcher and return specialist.
The selection of Murphy wraps up the 2015 NFL Draft for the Saints. Of the nine total picks for New Orleans, three were on offense.
