Saints CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste eager to prove worth

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The Saints have invested many resources into the cornerback position this off season, bringing in three free agents and drafting two more at the position.

Stanley Jean-Baptiste was drafted in the second round of the 2014 draft, yet barely saw the field last season.  After playing in just four games and seeing a slew of new faces in the secondary, he knows the pressure is ratcheted up. "I heard it, I can't do nothing about it," Jean-Baptiste said. "I can't just throw myself on field, I've got to wait until the time comes and show them then."

The few times he saw the field as a rookie, he was exposed, including on a game-winning touchdown at Detroit. "My position, you've got to forget real quick, don't stress anything," he said. "I know what I can do, I'm confident."

He seems to have a good grasp of where to go with the football. When he throws it, he has nice zip and accuracy. His athleticism is obvious too when he moves around. His best pass came on a nine route to Eldridge Massington. He also connected to an open receiver on a post route. Let’s not get too...
