We have transitioned from a stormy pattern last week to a far quieter stretch this week as low pressure has stalled along the east coast blocking western storms from heading into Louisiana.
With the eastern system expected to remain in place for another 2-3 days, we'll see rain chances staying low with plenty of sunshine.
Next week could see a pattern shift bringing us higher rain chances as weak fronts try to reach us. We are at the time of the year when cold fronts run out of gas and stall either near us or to our north. Forget about seeing cool air until October!
