HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A Houma father is accused of selling meth out of a home where he lived with his 12-year-old son, Houma police say.
Brandon Duplantis, 36, was arrested on Thursday and charged with possession and distribution of meth.
Following a narcotics investigation, Houma police say they obtained evidence that Duplantis was distributing methamphetamine. Officers say they stopped Duplantis as he left his home on Cleveland Street, finding him in possession of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.
Officers say they also found paraphernalia linking him to the distribution of meth.
A search warrant was issued at the suspect's residence. Here, police say they found more evidence linking Duplantis to meth distribution.
Officers say that his 12-year-old son was present during the sale and distribution of methamphetamine.
Duplantis faces charges of meth distribution; possession of meth with the intent to distribute; illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile; and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
