FOX 8 Defenders: NCJW Volunteers save consumers $41k in April

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

April proved to be a busy month for the FOX 8 Defenders. Volunteers tracked $41,000 in savings to consumers last month. The National Council of Jewish Women volunteers who staff our consumer advocacy program handled 207 complaints in April.

The total savings to consumers across Southeast Louisiana for the first four months of 2015 adds up to $110,000.

From viewers dealing with appliance and warranty trouble, to an issue with a phone company and exposed wires, to complaints of a bad job black-topping a roadway, volunteers took action and got results. We also worked to educate consumers who called in or emailed us their consumer concerns.

If you have a consumer complaint, call the FOX 8 Defenders at 1-877-670-6397, fill out our online complaint form or email us at fox8defenders@fox8live.com
