RIVER RIDGE, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish deputies recover 4 stolen vehicles and arrest one of two men believed responsible.
Deputies got an email tipping them off about the possibility of stolen cars at a home in the 300 block of South Bengal Road in River Ridge.
They went out to the home May 6 to investigate and later stopped 36-year-old Norman Bryant, who lives at the address, in a stolen Chevy Tahoe.
Detectives then brought Bryant back to his home on South Bengal Road, where they also found two other stolen cars.
At the same time, deputies checked out another location at 117 South Cumberland Street to investigate another possible stolen vehicle.
Deputies say they learned that Norman Bryant and a 60-year-old man named Roy Thompson parked another stolen truck at this location. Investigators say the truck had parts missing that are usually indicative of of the vehicle being stripped.
Deputies arrested Bryant on four counts of possession of a stolen vehicle. They are still searching for Thompson. When he is arrested, he will be booked with one count of possession of a stolen vehicle.
