Happy Mother's Day! The weather is cooperating for all the celebrations with high pressure and the help of tropical storm Ana continuing to push in dry air we will stay mostly dry. It will be very warm with highs in the upper 80s and muggy conditions, but the sunshine will make up for it. Make sure to have sun block, hats and drink plenty of water during those barbecues and crawfish boils going on across the area.
Rain chances will hold off until Monday, but as Ana pushes off and the subtropical jet stream moves in a cold front creeps closer and stalls near the area. Several disturbances will ride along that front making for increasing shower chances each day with coverage up to 40 to 60 percent by next weekend.
