NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 24-year-old man shot and killed in Central City on Friday has been identified.
Morio Jones, 24, was killed Friday after being shot in the head and neck, according to the Orleans Parish Coroner.
The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 2600 block of Magnolia Street. The victim was discovered outside lying in the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street, police say.
Officers were called out to investigate a call of a man shot next to a Ford pickup truck. Crews arriving on the scene found Jones with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and neck, officers say. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
