HOUMA, LA (WVUE) -

Troopers say a concerned citizen's tip led them to the woman who they say hit and killed a Houma man, then took off.

State Police say they arrested 53-year-old Toni Friloux Monday after they found a silver 1995 Dodge pick-up truck. Investigators believe it was involved in the crash on LA 57 on May 5th.

Troopers say the truck had fresh damage to the right front fender area and the windshield matched damage from the crash.

Investigators say Friloux admitted to driving the truck on LA 57 in Terrebonne Parish at the time of the crash, near the Ashland Jail.

They believe she veered into the shoulder of the road and hit 46-year-old Robert Clowder Jr. head-on as he was riding his bike.

The impact threw Clowder and his bike into a ditch off the southbound shoulder. Clowder later died.

Friloux faces several charges including negligent homicide, hit and run, careless operation, and improper lane usage.
