SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - Opening statements begin Tuesday in the trial of a man charged with killing a Slidell woman and setting her home on fire in 2012.
Baham is one of three people charged in the death of Ashley King. In February of 2012, King was beaten, stabbed 13 times and then set on fire in her home, police say.
Investigators say Baham and Andrew Sumner, 22, stabbed King after trying to rob her. They later set her home on fire in an attempt to cover up the crime, officials say.
Katelyn Lusich allegedly drove the pair to King's home.
Both Lusich and Sumner have pleaded guilty and will testify against Baham.
