PHILADELPHIA (WVUE) - A sixth person has died and another 146 people were taken to the hospital, including six in critical condition, CNN reports. The Amtrak train headed to New York City tipped over in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, mangling the front of it and tearing cars apart.
More than 240 people were on the train when it crashed. Officials say not all of the passengers have been accounted for.
The cause of the derailment, which shut down service on the busy Northeast Corridor, is currently unknown.
