LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A reward of more than $20 thousand is being offered for information on a missing Choupic man.
Family members of 31-year-old Chad Michael Babin notified the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office of his disappearance on May 3. Patrol deputies, detectives and volunteers from the local fire departments began a search that is continuing in the Choupic area. Sheriff Craig Webre says he does not know if foul play is involved.
Crime Stoppers Bayou Region is offering a reward of up to $1,000 if information provided leads to an arrest in this case. The family and friends of Chad Babin are also privately offering a reward of $22,000 for any information which leads to his discovery. The group says they are only concerned with finding Babin at this point, and so, they indicated the reward is being offered regardless of the circumstances of which he is found.

Babin has been missing since Friday, Detectives say the on-going searches for him have turned up no new leads on Babin's whereabouts.
Babin is described as 5'10" tall, and he weighs around 150 pounds. He has a fair complexion, brown eyes, short brown hair, as well as a goatee and a mustache.
