NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - With just one weekend left in college baseball's regular season, three Louisiana schools are projected NCAA Tournament participants.
Top-ranked LSU (44-8) is headed toward securing the tourney's top overall seed, while Tulane (31-20) and Southeastern (38-15) are also in the mix.
The latest projection from D1Baseball.com has LSU hosting the Baton Rouge Regional with the Southeastern Lions making a return trip to BR as the three-seed this year. Southeastern was the four-seed in Baton Rouge in 2014.
Tulane is a projected three-seed in the College Station, Texas Regional. Tulane's RPI of 50 is four spots lower than Southeastern's at 46.
Before conference tournament play begins next week, LSU travels to South Carolina, Tulane visits Memphis and Southeastern plays a home and home set with UNO.
