NOPD seek N.O. East rape suspects

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating and identifying two suspects wanted for an aggravated rape in New Orleans East.

The incident took place May 04 in the 5400 block of Crowder Boulevard.

At about 3:30 a.m., the 37-year-old victim was walking in the block when suspect one approached her, armed with a semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money. Suspect one then forced the woman inside a vehicle where suspect two was in the driver's seat.

The victim was then taken to an unknown location, where she was sexually assaulted.

Suspect one was described as a man with a dark brown complexion, approximately 20 years old, about 6'1" and 165 pounds. He had an athletic build, had a low haircut and was clean-shaven, with a tattoo of a star and cross on the right side of his face and a tattoo of "Taqueria" on his back.

The second suspect was described as man with a brown complexion, 25-30 years old, about 5'7" tall with a thin build and an afro hairstyle.
