We only saw a couple of showers develop today, but things should get wetter as we head into the weekend.
Deep tropical moisture, coupled with daytime heating and minor upper disturbances, should provide widespread rainfall with some of the heavy downpours causing brief street flooding. Rain coverage could be as high as 60-70%, but that doesn't mean it will rain 60-70% of the time.
There will be many dry hours between storms. No fronts are in sight until next week and that front is likely to stall before it reaches us.
