Surveillance video shows attempted burglary of Gentilly market

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Surveillance video may help bring in the people who tried to burglarize a Gentilly market.

Early Thursday morning, NOPD officers responded a business alarm at Canseco's Market on Elysian Fields Avenue. When they arrived, they located the siren box for the alarm on the ground and that someone had attempted to cut the padlock on the roll-up door to the business.

The store surveillance system captured a light colored Chevy/GMC sport utility vehicle pull into the parking lot. One male then exits the vehicle and knocks down the alarm box from the south side wall. A second subject with bolt cutters goes to the rollup but is unsuccessful in cutting the lock. The vehicle leaves while the male with the bolt cutters runs down an alley.

Detectives believe the suspects are responsible for other burglaries in the area.

Below are videos of the vehicle and the suspects.
