TERREBONNE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Police believe a man found dead in Terrebonne Parish earlier this week was killed by a "close associate."
Police arrested 46-year-old Simon James Quinn in connection to the murder of Robbie James Coulon.
Police found Coulon's body in Cocodrie on May 14. According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Coulon hadn't been seen for a week prior to his body being found. An autopsy was performed and the cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation. Toxicology tests are pending.
During the course of the investigation, multiple witnesses told detectives that Quinn and Coulon were "close associates" and that Quinn visited Coulon's home frequently. Witnesses also told police that the two men had a "disagreement" before Coulon's death.
Quinn, a Houma resident, was arrested in Vermillion Parish on warrants for probation violation and contempt of court. After being released, TPSO deputies transported him to the Terrebonne Parish Jail where he is being held on one charge of second degree murder.
