NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - After flooding rain on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and an isolated storm that spawned a tornado in the wee hours on Sunday morning, the rest of the day turned out to be very nice. We saw partly sunny conditions for most of the area.
For Monday, the morning will start out nicely with partly cloudy skies and warm and muggy conditions. An isolated storm is not out of the question by morning, but the better chance for rain begins late in the afternoon through the early evening hours.
A weak boundary sinks south through the area and will spark some heavy rain through the late afternoon hours into early evening. Monday and Tuesday will be the wettest days of the week although we can see some rain each day into next weekend.
