NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating two foster children reported missing in two separate cases.
In the first, 15-year-old Brianna Evans was last seen by her foster mother on May 18 at her home on Gen. Meyer Avenue in Algiers. The parent said saw Evans in her bed at 4:30 a.m., but when she went to check on her an hour later, Evans was gone. Police said the girl suffers from a medical condition and is in need of her medication.
In the second case, police are looking for 15-year-old Royshun Melson, who was last seen by his foster care social worker on May 18 on Poydras Street. At about 9:45 a.m., the social worker saw Melson leave the building after stating that he did not want to be placed into a new foster home.
The social worker was later contacted by Melson's aunt, who said Melson was at her home at about 10:30 a.m. but had since left the location.
Melson has not been seen or heard from since.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either teen is asked to call police at (504) 821-2222.
