HOUSTON, LA (WVUE) - The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office on Friday arrested a Houma man accused of shattering the front door of a restaurant and stealing about $1,300 worth of liquor.

Deputies booked 38-year-old Dewayne Martine with two counts of simple burglary.

Employees of Cajun Critters showed up to work in April, to find a smashed door and a broken ceramic alligator. The Sheriff's Office says it responded to the restaurant on West Tunnel Boulevard twice that month in response to burglary complaints. Investigators released surveillance images, in hopes it would lead them to the suspect.

Martine was being held on $50,000 bond.
