NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - On Monday, an upper disturbance was the culprit for the increase in rainfall activity across Southeast Louisiana.
Most showers and storms Tuesday will depend solely upon daytime heating. There are a few showers along the coast Tuesday morning, but inland development won't occur until the afternoon hours.
A weak front will move into the area Wednesday, perhaps acting as a focus for additional showers and storms.
Slightly drier air mixes in by the end of the week, limiting the amount of rainfall. It's just a matter of time before MSY reaches 90 degrees for the first time this year.
