NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

“Oh, you don't want me anymore?”

Those were the words muttered by 37-year-old Kindalyn Luque before she shot a man inside of a Leonidas home, New Orleans police say.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. Monday inside of a home in the 8500 block of Spruce Street. New Orleans police say Luque is on the run following the shooting.

The victim tells police he asked Luque to leave his Spruce Street home. The suspect refused to leave, detectives say.

Luque pulled a gun out of her pouch, pointed it at the victim and shot him in the upper right leg, officers say. Prior to the shooting, police say she stated, “Oh, you don't want me anymore?”

During the course of the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Luque for aggravated battery by shooting.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
