NOPD seeks Algiers tire thief

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating and identifying a man who is wanted for stealing a rear exterior mounted spare tire from a parked Jeep Wrangler in Algiers. Police say he may be responsible for other, similar thefts in the area.

The most recent theft occurred Tuesday in a parking lot 3504 Kabel Drive.

At around 10:05 a.m., video surveillance captured the man driving up possibly in a white older-model Geo Tracker. The man is seen removing the tire from the Jeep, loading it into his vehicle and driving off.
