Tulane looking to secure NCAA bid with AAC tournament run

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - In Tulane's first year under coach David Pierce, the Wave are hoping to earn their first NCAA postseason bid since the spring of 2008.

Entering the first-ever American Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament, Tulane has an RPI of 38, placing them firmly on the bubble. Their Saturday doubleheader sweep of Memphis earned them the third seed in the AAC Tournament and they will face sixth-seeded Connecticut Wednesday at 2 PM in Clearwater, FL.

After dropping their first regular season game against the Huskies, 6-0, Tulane outscored UConn in the following two games, 10-4, to win the series.

Welcome in to Juan's World and as you know, this blog that I do is strictly an opinion piece with a few facts sprinkled in here and there. So, with that in mind, I'm under the opinion that the Saints should've been 'expected' to look past the Jets to next weeks rematch with the Falcons. How could they not look ahead to Atlanta coming to the dome next Sunday. And before you go all 'One Game at a Time' on me, think for a second. You're supposed to beat the Jets, who came in 5-8 and wi...
