Tyreke Evans undergoes successful surgery on right knee

(WVUE) -

The Pelicans announced Thursday that guard Tyreke Evans had a successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

That's the same knee that caused Evans to miss most of the playoff opener at Golden State. There is no timetable for his return to play.

The versatile guard played the rest of the postseason and totaled 79 games in the regular season, where he averaged 16.6 points, 6.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game in his second year in New Orleans.

I’m not particularly enamored with anyone in the draft class and the need at quarterback hasn’t become an absolute must just yet. Next year’s crop could be better and there are some notable signal callers (Jimmy Garropolo, A.J. McCarron) scheduled to hit...more>>
