NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - All Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles locations plan return to full service on Friday.
A fire at the state police data center in Baton Rouge on Thursday devastated OMV offices around the state. The fire effectively shut down all computer functions at the state level, meaning OMV offices could not process transactions
State Police also could not process handgun permits or background checks and law enforcement agency could not check license plates.
Officials say everything should be back to normal Friday.
