NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - After what was a pretty nice Sunday for most we are watching a line of heavy storms moving in from the west. The original tornado watch was allowed to expire at 8:00 p.m. and the western parishes watch expired at 10:00 p.m. as the line of storms continues to slowly creep east.
Behind the first line of storms activity will die down for the overnight. Showers kick up again early for your Memorial Day. Look for scattered showers early on with another line of heavier storms developing for the afternoon and into the evening hours. It won't be raining all the time, but there is the potential for some storms to become strong.
The Storm Prediction Center once again places us in the marginal risk for severe weather. Storm chances continue each day with a dramatic decrease in rain coverage.
