Gunman robs UPS driver along crowded stretch of Magazine Street

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A UPS driver was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon, according to initial police reports.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of Magazine Street.

Officers say that a gunman approached the 55-year-old driver, forced him into the truck, took money from his pockets and two packages from the truck, police say.

The perpetrator is described as an African-American man in his 20s, approximately 5'11'' and 140 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans. He fled in a gray SUV.

    A Montgomery abortion clinic failed to report a patient who was 13 years old to the Department of Human Resources, according to a report from the Alabama Department of Public Health.
