NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It has been upper disturbances which have triggered the abundant rainfall over the last several days.
As of Thursday morning, there is no such feature in the atmosphere and rain coverage will be far less.
Showers will be more isolated Thursday afternoon with daytime heating. We are still under a marginal - lowest end - risk for severe storms. The few storms that do develop have a slight potential of becoming strong to severe.
Friday looks relatively dry with only an isolated shower or storm by the afternoon. Rain chances gradually increase through the weekend. High temperatures will be flirting with 90 degrees.
