NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Darren Sharper will spend at least nine years in federal prison, but the actual length of the sentence will depend on what happens in New Orleans.

In federal court Friday morning, the former New Orleans Saints player is expected to change his plea to guilty. The move is the next step in a multijurisdictional deal that will help him avoid a life sentence.

A final farewell to the Beale Street Blues Boy is planned Friday as people get the chance to pay their last respects to B.B. King.

His body arrived in the Delta at his hometown of Indianola, Mississippi this week with a full police escort.

And flood worries continue in the Lone Star state. Officials are closely monitoring the levels of rivers in Texas engorged by the deluge of last weekend.

Tune into FOX 8 Morning Edition for more on these stories.
