Three women robbed in two carjackings Saturday morning

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

 Three women were robbed in two separate carjackings by armed men Saturday.

The first robbery occurred in Gentilly around 12:33 a.m. according to NOPD. An unknown, armed black male approached a 28-year-old woman in the 4800 block of Congress Drive and put a gun to her head. The unknown gunman demanded her keys and the woman complied. The robber then took off in the victims car.

The second carjacking occurred about an hour later in the 7th ward. An unknown black male armed with a gun approached two women, ages 30 and 35, in the 1700 block of North Prieur. The robber took the 30-year-old woman's keys and fled in her vehicle. According to the report, the victim was celebrating her birthday that night.
