NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - It's all about location! By the afternoon, the Airport had little more than a trace of rain, whereas here at FOX 8, the rainfall total is approaching 2 inches! That's enough to create some street flooding. That is always the risk with slow moving scattered storms. And it looks as though that will be a threat again tomorrow with perhaps a bit more coverage Monday and Tuesday as an upper low parks itself right over the Gulf coast.
Depending on the position of the low, some areas could see decent accumulation, whereas some locations may see nothing at all. Right now, models position the low to bring more abundant rain to SE LA and S MS. The low moves east by Wednesday, and we dry out and heat up!
