LSU softball's College World Series run ends with 6-3 loss to Michigan

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (WVUE) -

LSU knew that in order to punch its ticket to the College World Series Final, it would have to complete the challenging task of topping a talented Michigan squad in consecutive games. After jumping out to a 3-1 advantage midway through the fourth inning of Sunday's contest, the Wolverines scored five unanswered runs to win 6-3, ending the Tigers' season.

LSU (52-14) was led by Bailey Landry who went 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Sandra Simmons was the lone Tiger with multiple hits, finishing with two to go along with one run scored.

Sierra Lawrence led Michigan (59-6) with two RBIs and one run scored on 1-for-3 hitting. Tera Blanco went 2-for-2 with one RBI and one run scored.

The Wolverines move on to face Florida in the College World Series Final. The best-of-three series kicks off Monday at 7 p.m.
