Tulane unable to overcome slow start, falls to UNC-Wilmington in elimination game

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) -

Tulane struggled to get its offense going early as UNC-Wilmington posted six runs in the third inning en route to an 8-2 win Sunday night, ending the Green Wave's season.

The Green Wave were led by Tim Yandel who knocked in both Green Wave runs with a pinch-hit single in the bottom of the ninth. Jackson Johnson went 2-for-4.

Zach Canada led the Seahawks posting three hits and two RBIs. Casey Golden also collected two RBIs, while going 1-for-5 at the plate.

UNC-Wilmington moves on to face LSU Monday at noon.
