An intoxicated Houma woman was arrested following a fatal crash in Thibodaux, deputies say. She was more than twice the legal limit.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. Monday on Bayou Blue Bypass Road in Lafourche Parish. Deputies say that the vehicle flipped killing the male passenger.

Anzlie Naquin, 27, was driving when the crash happened. For unknown reasons, officers say her vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch, traveled through the air and overturned.

The passenger of the vehicle, 36-year-old Markeith Folse, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Deputies say he was not wearing a seat belt. Folse was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Naquin, who was wearing a seat belt, received minor injuries in the crash and refused treatment.

She submitted to a breath test and was found to be more than double the legal limit, deputies say.

Naquin was arrested on vehicular homicide and careless operation charges. The crash remains under investigation.
