NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Louisiana SPCA is full. The non-profit is asking for help finding homes for dozens of adoptable animals.

The Louisiana SPCA, located at 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd., is currently filled to capacity, meaning they do not have any more kennel space.

However, it is an open admission shelter. The Louisiana SPCA states they will never turn away an animal that comes through their doors. Newcomers will be transported to another shelter, sent to a foster network or sent to breed rescue groups.

"The biggest thing that the public can do is to come and adopt," said officials with the Louisiana SPCA. "This will have the biggest impact by far."

To adopt an animal, visit 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd. or view adoptable animals on their website at www.la-spca.org/adoptables.
