NOPD: Pair sought in murder of two brothers

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is searching for two men linked to the recent murder of two brothers.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Widner "Flow" Degruy who is wanted in connection with the fatal double shooting of 22-year-old Kendrick Bishop and 18-year-old Kendred Bishop.

Both brothers were shot to death while inside of a vehicle in the 4800 block of Bright Drive. The incident occurred May 25.

Around 5:45 a.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area. When officers arrived, they found both brothers inside a black Kia sedan.

Both victims died on the scene.

Detectives were able to obtain surveillance video that shows Degruy and a second person possibly running from the scene and making a purchase at a nearby store.

Degruy is seen in the video wearing a dark colored hooded shirt while the unidentified suspect is wearing a hat and short pants.

Once in custody, Degruy will be booked with two counts of second degree murder. The second individual remains at large.
