NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD is asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for stealing and then pawning lawn equipment in Algiers.

Police are looking for 28-year-old Larry Clark. The theft happened Monday in the 3200 block of Bringer Street.

Around 10 a.m., a witness saw Clark stealing a Redmax leaf blower from the rear cargo area of a pick-up truck that was parked in the block. Clark put the equipment into a silver Nissan Sentra and fled the area. The leaf blower is valued at over $400.

During the course of the investigation, detective Tianay Marshall learned that Clark had pawned the equipment at a nearby pawnshop nearly two hours after he stole it.

Once he is caught, Clark will be booked with Possession of Stolen Property.
