Entergy holds meeting about upgrade impacts

(WVUE) - The power company Entergy will outline its plan to do about $30 million worth of work replacing and upgrading major transmission lines.

The work will start in July and is expected to shut down streets and could result in planned outages in neighborhoods near Audubon Park the Carrollton and Hollygrove area.

Entergy says the works is part of an effort to improve the reliability of the city's electrical grid.

A public meeting about the plan is scheduled for Wednesday night at the Audubon Tea Room on Magazine Street at 6 p.m.
